Career Pathways & Workforce Development

Providing hands-on experience, exploration and formal skill-building in career pathways that prepare youth to successfully transition to adulthood.

Providing hands-on experience, exploration and formal skill-building in career pathways that prepare youth to successfully transition to adulthood.

This work shouldn’t start in the last two years of high school. Access to these opportunities at an earlier age allows for deeper exploration of interests, careers and skill-building; resulting in greater confidence and preparation for important post-high school decisions that impact a student’s future and, in turn, our community’s future.

I learned so much and had a great time. I truly enjoyed the medical practices, CPR and EMS training overall the most, and I’m hoping today is just the start of my career path.

I found out about CareerTek when I took a robotics class in middle school. I continued participating in programs like the Welty Center Summer Academy and the Medical Academy in high school. I am grateful for the opportunities CareerTek has offered me and our community so that students can explore their interests in STEM fields.

I loved learning how to pour concrete.
