The Hendricks Family Foundation is pleased to award a three-year, $1 million grant to the Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs’ capital campaign, “Building a Better Future for Our Community,” announced Diane Hendricks, President and Chairman of the Board. “The Boys and Girls Club is the place where kids go. It’s a place where all kids can say I belong, I can succeed. And now is the right time. It’s time to invest in our kids and give them a new building.”

Approximately $5 million has been raised to-date by the campaign. Construction on the new facility began in April and is anticipated to be completed, along with the renovations to the South Beloit facility, by December 2021. “We are truly humbled and grateful for the continuing support of the Hendricks Family Foundation. This latest support will allow us to reach our goal of extending and expanding our impact on the lives of the young people in the Stateline Area. Stateline Boys & Girls Clubs’ vision continues to align with that of the Hendricks Family Foundation in providing a greater future for our community and our young people,” said Mark Rand, Chief Executive Officer.
The Stateline Boys & Girls Club has been an integral part of youth development in the Stateline Area since 1955. It has been a safe-haven for tens of thousands of young people, allowing them to grow and develop. Club programming saves at least three tax dollars for every one dollar spent by reducing the need for remedial education, preventing grade repetition, lowering the drop-out rate and keeping kids safe in a positive environment.
Support of this project by the Hendricks Family Foundation allows the Foundation to invest in youth education and career pathway work that inspires possibility and challenges Stateline Area children to dream big, achieve success and contribute to a strong and vibrant community.
